Criw Creu returned again in 2024! Criw Creu is a creative project led by Theatr Cymru with support from Literature Wales.
This time, we were very proud to work with a group of young offenders between the ages of 14 and 18 from Park Prison near Bridgend, and offer them opportunities to collaborate with professional artists and performers.
Jamie Williams from Park Prison said:
'As part of the enrichment program our aim is to increase the children's confidence, self-esteem, team work, problem solving, communication skills and leadership skills. While these children are in prison, we focus on fostering adaptive skills such as respect, core values, employability skills, team work, problem solving and creativity. By working together with external agencies and forming partnerships like this one with Theatr Cymru these complex children will have every opportunity to succeed in life with the main focus on reducing reoffending.'
