• Criw Creu is returning for 2023! This creative project for pupils with additional learning needs is led by Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru with support from Llenyddiaeth Cymru.

This year, we’re pleased to be working with groups from two Carmarthenshire schools, Ysgol Bro Myrddin and Queen Elizabeth High School

Pupils from both schools – ranging from year 7 to sixth form – will write a poem under the tutorship of author Elinor Wyn Reynolds, before taking part in a composing workshop with Dan Lawrence to created the music. There will then be the opportunity for pupils to prepare the work to be showcased in video form at this year’s Urdd Eisteddfod in Carmarthenshire.

Keep an eye on this page for new pictures and videos over the next few weeks as we work towards the Urdd Eisteddfod in Llandovery.

Criw Creu began with our mural project at Ysgol Bro Pedr, thanks to support from Western Power Distribution and Culture Step, through Arts and Business. Read the story here.

In 2022, the project went national when artist Casi Wyn (Children’s Laureate for Wales), Sioned Medi Evans and Sian Elin (our Participation Coordinator) worked with pupils at 4 schools across Wales. Read more and watch videos from the project here.
