Connect Up is an international cultural initiative that brings theatres, festivals and universities from 10 countries together to tackle the challenge of developing audiences by ensuring theatre productions reach and are relevant to under-represented young people and communities. From Austria to Italy, Croatia to Germany, 29 theatre productions for young people will be developed and presented at 22 festivals or theatres – and they’ll be aimed primarily at young people from 12 years of age.
As part of this project, our language access app, Sibrwd, has been further developed as a resource for translation, marketing and evaluation, as well as to improve accessibility and offer additional artistic content for productions in a number of languages across Europe. The app is known as Connect App for the purposes of this project.
