We are so excited that rehearsals for our next production, Pijin / Pigeon, in partnership with Theatr Iolo, have started in Carmarthen.
As usual, we kicked off with a welcome meeting where we invited all the cast, creative team, the crew of the production, as well as staff from the two production companies in to the rehearsal room to meet each other. In fact, this is the largest welcome meeting we’ve had since before lockdown!
After the introductions, we enjoyed a mesmerising reading of the play from the cast: Owen Alun, Lisa Jen Brown, Nia Gandhi, Elin Gruffudd and Carwyn Jones. Then, we heard from director Lee Lyford and set and costume designer Carl Davies, as they shared their vision for the show. It’s safe to say that these two aren’t short of great ideas!
The whole team will continue to rehearse in Carmarthen before moving on to Pontio Bangor for technical rehearsals and to open the show. Have a peek into the rehearsal room with this selection of rehearsal photos - thanks to Betsan (Celf Calon) for stopping by to snap a few shots!
Have you got your tickets yet? Pijin / Pigeon is on tour throughout Wales from 27 February to 25 March and, in Alys' words, “Do come to see.’’
