After announcing a brand-new tour of Huw Fyw, Theatr Cymru is thrilled to announce the cast and creative team bringing this wonderful play by Tudur Owen back to stages across Wales this year.

Alongside Tudur Owen as Huw Fyw (Alive Huw), Owen Alun (Rownd a Rownd, Biwti a Brogs, Pijin/Pigeon) and Dafydd Emyr (Brenin March, Kill Thy Neighbour, Rhinoseros) will return to the cast this year, bringing the same energy and pasion. Owen will be back as Huw Farwodd (Dead Huw) and Dylan, while Dafydd returns to the role of Twm Teciall. Leah Gaffey (Fleabag, Stwnsh Sadwrn) joins the cast this year as Wendy.

The original creative team also returns to work on this new tour. With Artistic Director Steffan Donnelly at the helm, Elin Steele returns as Set and Costume Designer, with Elanor Higgins as Lighting Designer and Alexander Comana as Sound Designer.

This new tour follows huge demand for the production last year and offers audiences another opportunity to enjoy the play, from 15 April onwards. Filled with Tudur’s usual wit and mischief, Huw Fyw (★★★★ "the perfect balance of sweet, serious and funny" Buzz Magazine) follows a veteran soldier as he ventures on an unforgettable journey from his village to Central London; an adventure that will change the course of his life forever and help him learn to live for today.

The tour begins at the Dance House in Cardiff on 15 April, before touring Wales:

There will be a BSL interpreted performance with Cathryn McShane at the Dance House in Cardiff on 17 April 2026 and Pontio, Bangor, on 2 May 2026.
