Deffro'r Gwanwyn (Welsh adaptation of 'Spring Awakening)
Book and lyrics by Steven Sater
Music by Duncan Sheik
Welsh translation by Dafydd James
Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru brings the translation of the award-winning musical ‘Spring Awakening’ to the stages of Wales for the first time.
Melchior has had enough of the lies, Moritz is tormented by his thoughts, and Wendla is desperate to understand more about babies are made.
Based on ‘Spring Awakening’, the controversial play by Frank Wedekind, the show deals with sexual repression and hormonal chaos, told in a gritty and very honest way.
