We are delighted to share that we have appointed Ffion Glyn and Ann Pari Williams as new Trustees for Theatr Cymru. Their expertise and passion will be hugely valuable to us as a company.
Originally from Bethel but now living in Cardiff, Ffion Glyn is a theatre producer, actor and creative facilitator. After graduating in Drama and Theatre Studies from the University of Birmingham and training as an actor at East 15 Acting School, Ffion worked as an actor, mainly in touring theatre and the outdoor theatre sector. She developed an interest in participation work, facilitating creative workshops for a wide range of participants, on behalf of organisations including Coram Shakespeare Schools Foundation, Arts Council of Wales and Welsh National Opera. As a producer, she was a core member of the Mewn Cymeriad team for five years. Her freelance work in Wales includes productions for Taking Flight Theatre, Blackwood Miners' Institute and Theatrau Sir Gâr. She currently works as a member of the Birmingham Rep production team, as part of the Stage One programme.
Born in Botwnnog but now living in Y Felinheli, the arts have always been important to Ann Pari Williams. Ann graduated in Welsh and Drama at Aberystwyth University before going on to train as a Social Worker. She started her career in Rhondda and then Barry before returning to the north. More recently, she worked as a Wellbeing Manager at Gwynedd Council and is now an associate tutor with Oxford Brookes University and lectures on team management courses. She was a member of the Codi’r To Board for ten years and has been a member of the Carers Outreach board for two years. She completed a part-time MA course in Welsh Literature in 2024. She is particularly interested in the connection between the arts and well-being.
We would also like to extend our thanks to Catherine Rees, Gwyn Williams and Meilir Rhys Williams, who are leaving the Board. Thank you to all three for their dedication, insight, and tireless support in leading the company through the last few years.
Theatr Cymru's Board of Trustees plays a vital role in steering the company's strategic direction, achieving our vision and reaching our strategic goals. Welcoming Ffion and Ann brings valuable new perspectives that will help shape the company's future.
