Dosbarth Miss Prydderch a Lleidr y Lleisiau: Announcing our wonderful cast

Theatr Cymru, Yr Egin and Cwmni Theatr Arad Goch with support from Theatrau Sir Gâr, are very proud to share the talented cast that will bring Dosbarth Miss Prydderch a Lleidr y Lleisiau to stages across Wales this year.

Tonya Smith (The Fight, Pobol y Cwm) steps into the role of the extraordinary teacher, Miss Prydderch, with Victoria Pugh (Rhinoseros, Craith) playing Lleidr y Lleisiau and Councillor Bella Serpenti-Philpot. Carwyn Jones (Pijin / Pigeon, Gair o Cariad) will play the characters of Mr Elias and Mr Cnoc. Bringing the children of Miss Prydderch's class to the stage will be Elis Myers-Sleight (The Last Five Years, The Eye of the Storm) as Alfred, Kellie-Gwen Morgan (RomJul, Mission:Cymru) as Elen, Ariadne Koursarou (A Midsummer Night's Dream, Under Milk Wood) as Sara and Jed O'Reilly (Stwnsh Sadwrn, Mabinogi-ogi) as Gwyn. This talented ensemble of performers will be sure to enchant children across Wales as they bring the characters of the beloved book series to life.

Brimming with mischief, music and imagination, this magical musical by Mererid Hopwood brings the adventures and characters of the books to the stage, with music by Seiriol Davies. Ffion Wyn Bowen directs, with Steffan Donnelly as Associate Director. The production will also include a striking set and costumes by designer Cai Dyfan, lighting by Cara Hood and choreography by Cêt Haf, with Lynwen Haf Roberts as Music Director, Eädyth Crawford as Sound Designer and Steffan Rhys Williams as Music Producer.

The production will open at Lyric Theatre, Carmarthen in June 2026, before traveling to venues across Wales for family and schools audiences.
