To celebrate Bethan Marlow’s adaptation of Alys Conran’s novel Pigeon for the stage, publishers Parthian Books have printed a new version of the book (both the English and Welsh version) with a limited-edition cover. The brand-new cover features the iconic poster image for the play and is now available to buy at selected tour venues, local bookshops, and the Parthian Books website.
The iconic cover features the striking photograph of a young boy against the breath-taking backdrop of Dinorwic Slate Quarry, alongside a miniature ice cream van; a recurring image that appears through the novel and in the stage adaptation. The image was taken by Cardiff and North Wales based photographer Dafydd Ffoto Nant, and the graphic designer is our long-time collaborator Kelly King Design. Diolch both or your hard work!
Treat yourself today and buy a new limited-edition cover copy of one of the most iconic and awarded novels based in Wales. Why not buy a ticket for one of the final performances of the stage adaptation too?!
