Ever since I was very young, drama has been an important part of my everyday life, and now I really enjoy giving children in the community a taste of the world of drama. They are given an opportunity to experience and discover creativity, and a way of expressing themselves, through drama, improvisation and creating new characters.
That is exactly what happened during the Harvest Festival held at Cardigan on Wednesday 29 September. Local schools were given creative sessions in the castle, and over 200 children were present all day long. Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru was invited to take part in the activities, and it was a great pleasure to be a part of the event.
I really enjoyed working with the young people to develop new characters, and it was great to see the children enjoying themselves and putting their own stamp on the work.
Many thanks to Gŵyl y Cynhaeaf for creating and organising this event, which gives children, young people and the community as a whole an opportunity to come together to celebrate creativity through the Welsh language.
