The Cwt Drama is a partnership between Theatr Genedlaethol Cymru and the National Eisteddfod of Wales. Since its inception in 2014, the Cwt Drama has become well-known as the main platform on which to present professional theatre work under development, participatory events, and small-scale or undeveloped theatrical presentations at the Drama Village on the Eisteddfod field.
In preparation for the 2018 National Eisteddfod at Cardiff, we are inviting appplications to present a variety of events as part of the Cwt Drama programme, e.g. readings or presentations of works-in-progress or new, exciting and ambitious commissions that will stimulate and encourage discussion, whilst at the same time offering National Eisteddfod audiences an interesting and unique experience.
In addition, small-scale or undeveloped presentations, discussions and talks about new works, or events that give the audience an opportunity to take part, can also be held at the Cwt Drama. Please note that 120 is the maximum number of people that can attend any one event at the Cwt Drama.
The Cwt Drama can only offer a limited number of sessions; each session must be conducted through the medium of Welsh and last between 30 minutes and one hour.
